My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The location is lovely with a beautiful view, but some aspects like the noisy rooms didn't meet my expectations. The service was friendly but could be improved to better understand guest needs.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had a mouldy smell and were noisy due to water works all night. Being near the pool with loud air-conditioning units made falling asleep difficult.
Service
7.0
The service provided a refreshing night's sleep and the staff were very friendly. However, there were times when they seemed overwhelmed, affecting the speed of service.
Location
8.0
The location is scenic and could be fantastic with some updates. It offers a beautiful view of the hills beyond.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a mix - from okay to very good with excellent choices. However, there were some misses like poorly cooked poached eggs and hard bacon.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has potential with some good facilities like a nice lounge area, but some improvements are needed to enhance the overall experience.

The hotel offers spacious rooms that were clean and pleasant, but lacking in character. The service was outstanding with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The location was convenient and spotlessly clean, making it a great choice for my stay. The dining experience was good, although there were minor delays. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor drawbacks.

7.4/10

The hotel is situated just outside Crickhowell at the top of a hill, offering excellent views to the ridge across the valley. The rooms, although basic and small, have pleasant views across the valley. However, the cold temperature in the rooms could be uncomfortable, especially on colder days. It is essential to note that this hotel is pet-friendly, which may not be ideal if you prefer not to have dogs in your room.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms looked out across the valley, providing very pleasant views. However, the basic and small room size might not be suitable for everyone. It was also noted that the room temperature could be quite cold at times.
Service
8.0
The staff were very helpful and responsive to any issues that arose during my stay. However, there were instances where the waiting staff seemed preoccupied, possibly due to a wedding event, which impacted the overall conviviality of the service.
Location
9.0
The location of the hotel is idyllic, offering fantastic views and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite some cleanliness issues observed in the room, the staff's efforts to make the stay special, including accommodating pets, added to the overall positive experience.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience felt somewhat lacking, with some dishes appearing to be prepared ahead of time. Additionally, there were instances of service discrepancies, especially after functions, affecting the quality of the overall experience.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities at the hotel could be improved, particularly in terms of dining quality and room temperature control. However, the stunning views and welcoming staff add to the charm of this place.
